Praying the word of God aligns my heart with His. We have been studying Revelation in Bible Study Fellowship this year and my prayer has been for God to give me His wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him as I work through Revelation. God is faithful.I deeply moved moved through the study of Revelation 5:6-10 and my heart has deepened with response to prayer. When Jesus, the Lamb of God, was slain for my sin the response of the heavenly host closest to God in His throne room fell flat before Him in reverence holding a harp in one hand and a golden bowl containing the prayers of God’s people up to Him. I am humbled and amazed that every word I utter to God in prayer is so deeply important to Him that my words would be delivered to Him in a golden bowl by His holy, heavenly beings who are flat before Him in reverence and complete submission. Beautiful.
Monica moments aren’t just embarrassing moments. They are also moments in time that stop me in my tracks from living life on autopilot, if even just for a few seconds, to remind me of my purpose and to give thanks. Here is one of those moments where I pulled out of the driveway to go to work to see this breath taking sunrise. I’ve heard some say that Oklahoma is not beautiful but the wide expanse of the plains of Oklahoma offer some stunning sunrises and sunsets like no other. They bring my heart to my knees in awe of God’s glory.
The beauty of these sunrises and sunsets bring peace to my soul knowing that God’s power and sovereignty are bigger than any person, nation, or kingdom and His grace is limitless. No one’s sin is bigger than God’s grace.

Newest Most Embarrassing Moment: The Pevehouse Family went to a birthday party of some friends whose house we had only been to a few times. We knew there would be a moonbounce at the birthday party set up in the backyard for the kids to play on. We turned into the neighborhood, drove down familiar streets and pulled up to the house with the moonbounce displayed in the backyard. We got out of the car and walked around the house to the backyard, walked through the backyard filled with a sea of people….whom we did not recognize, by the way…and right into the house of someone else who was also having a birthday party! Yikes!! We appologized profusely and bowed out as gracefully as possible. We are officially party crashers….
There are many times in my life that I have had to say “I’m having a Monica moment.” Those of you who know me, know that I unintentionally get myself into some emabarrassing situations. I’ve gotten used to it and have learned to laugh at myself but those who are with me when an embarrassing Monica moment happens usually feels the sting of humiliation. God uses these emabarrassing moments to keep me humble at heart and probably uses me to humble others. So, since I’ve learned to not take myself too seriously and laugh, I thought I’d share some of these Monica moments with you.
